Generic Clindapene Gel contains two ingredients called Adapalene and Clindamycin. Adapalene gel 01% and Adapalene USP 0.1% contains, carbomer homopolymer, Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid EDTA, Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, poloxamer 182, propane-1,2-diol, purified water and sodium hydrate. Clindamycin phosphate is a water soluble compound belonging to semi-synthetic derivative of lincomycin which is lincosamide antibiotic by ctinomyces Streptomyces lincolnensis. It contains propane-1,2-diol, isopropanol 50%v/v and H2O.
The action mechanism of Adapalene in treating acne is unknown, but it brings down the inflammatory process by acting on cellular levels. On the other hand, Clindamycin suppresses the protein synthesis of pathogenic bacteria and destroy them.

Generic Clindapene Gel (Adapalene and Clindamycin) is a topical solution present in gel form. Generally, this should be topically applied on the affected skin region two times daily.
A thin coat of the gel should be applied on the surface of affected skin.
One should not bring it in contact with mucous membrane, eyes or lips. In case if the gel causes mild irritation, then inform your doctor about this.
Sometimes the doctor would suggest using it only once in a day.
How to use –
Before applying the gel, you should clean the affected region with soap-less cleanser or mild soap.
Gently dry the washed skin region; avoid scrubbing.
Apply thin coat of gel on the affected skin region and rub gently. Wash your hands after applying.
If you are allergic to any component present in Generic Clindapene Gel, then avoid using the medicine. You should inform your doctor immediately before using the gel.
If a dose is missed, apply it immediately. But if next dose schedule is near, do not increase the quantity to make up for the missed dosage; in fact, continue with the regular schedule.
If you experience any health anomalies after using Adapalene and Clindamycin gel, then consult your doctor for assistance.
Pregnant woman should speak to the doctor before using this drug; it may react adversely in pregnant women. The medicine may also pass through breast-milk; hence, lactating women should avoid using it.
During the initial week, the condition may aggravate and acne may become worse. However, one should not stop the medicine and continue to use as instructed by the doctor.
