Generic Restasis is a medicine used in treatment of dry eyes. Dry eye(s) is the specific symptom of keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), the most common type of eye disease. KCS is also called as dry eye syndrome or xerophthalmia or keratitis sicca, which is characterized by the inflammation of cornea and conjunctiva, leading to decreased production of tear resulting in dry eyes. The main ingredient present in Generic Restasis is Cyclosporine, which helps in increasing the volume of tears. Cyclosporine reduces the inflammation in the eye(s), and is also used for other health conditions as well.
